About the project

L@unch Box is software for creating online stores based on Magento system from a group of developers from Seattle, WA, USA.

Our task was to create a logo and design for the landing page of the future project. The client had some ideas regarding the logo and design, which he shared with us:

Keep the brand identity and corporate colors intact
Minimalistic
Bright, eye-catching logo

Working on the project

We started off with an idea that the online store setup and development are like cooking lunch. When you do it yourself, it takes up quite some time; however, when you go out for lunch, it’s much faster and cheaper, so to say.

After having some fun with a few wordplay variations, we settled on the obvious-yet-intriguing «launch-lunch», thus coming up with L@unch Box. The idea behind this was simple: creating an online store with L@unch Box is as easy as ordering lunch at a restaurant.

This idea had also found its way onto the logo, where we combined the traditional elements of any lunch (a fork and knife) with the rocket launch. All of the elements are placed in a box, which should symbolize the readymade solution that L@unch Box was.

After a few days of brainstorming and client approval cycles, we finalized the concept, did the design, and completed the project.
